If the past few years has taught us anything, it is that we can no longer ignore growing environmental threats. It is essential to deepen our understanding of the relationship between real estate investment, planning and climate risk. Join ULI this April to to examine ways to prepare for current and future challenges as the build environment searches for resiliency in a changing climate.

If the past few years has taught us anything, it is that we can no longer ignore growing environmental threats. It is essential to deepen our understanding of the relationship between real estate investment, planning and building typologies and climate risk. In a report published in 2019, ULI partnered with the global real estate investment firm, Heitman, to examine ways to prepare for current and future challenges, including ways capital and insurance sources are factoring climate risk into their decision making.

This two-part series begins in Spring 2020 and continues with a fall symposium.

In April we start the conversation with a dynamic presentation from Billy Grayson, the Executive Director of the ULI Center for Sustainability & Economic Performance and Laura Craft, SVP, Global Strategy & Investment ESG at Heitman, co-authors of the 2019 study.

In September, we will do a deeper dive into sea-level rise and wildfire mitigation with a program focused on both topics.
