Affordable Housing Development Mapping Tool
ULI San Diego-Tijuana recently collaborated with UC San Diego’s Homelessness Hub as part of ULI’s Homeless to Housed (H2H) initiative. The result of this collaboration was a new GIS tool that analyzes areas for affordable housing development in San Diego. The goal of this tool is to analyze the feasibility of meeting the region’s RHNA allocation for income-restricted affordable housing by evaluating the development potential of these sites, particularly in terms of securing the necessary financing and development approvals. We hope that it will be a valuable resource for researchers, developers, urban planners, and all sorts of land use professionals.
