The mission of the ULI San Diego-Tijuana Young Leaders Group Partnership Forum is to foster an exchange of professional ideas, friendship, and expertise among young real estate professionals and industry veterans that are members of the Urban Land Institute. This program matches young professionals (“Mentees”) from the Young Leaders Group with experienced professionals (“Mentors”) for guidance and support, while offering mentors an opportunity to strengthen ties with future real estate leaders.
The Mentorship Program affords both young and experienced professionals the opportunity to develop a dynamic relationship from which both mentors and mentees benefit in a small group setting. The ideal mentoring relationship is one that exceeds fact-finding and delves into personal knowledge and experience. In many cases, young professionals have certain career goals, but do not have the firsthand experience or insight on what to expect or how to achieve their goals. Mentors are invaluable resources in helping guide and advise the mentees to actualize their based upon their experiences.

Rewards of Being Mentor
Each YLG Partnership Forum Group will consist of approximately twenty (20) YLG members with an interest and proven dedication to real estate. We make every effort to ensure YLG Partnership Forum Group participants represent diverse professional backgrounds and companies.
The YLG Partnership Forum Groups are expected to meet at least eight (8) times during the program year and attendance is mandatory for these scheduled events. You must be a current ULI Member to apply. Deadline: Friday, February 15, 2019.
Please note that there is a cost affiliated with the 2019 Partnership Forum. Once you complete the Mentee Application you will be prompted to register for the 2018 Partnership Forum. You will NOT be able to participate unless you have paid the program affiliation fee.
The Affiliation Fee covers the following:
- The PFG Kick Off Event on February 6th at Woodbury University School of Architecture
- The year-long PFG program
- The End of Year ULI San Diego-Tijuana YLG Close Out Event

The ULI San Diego-Tijuana Partnership Forum provides an ongoing opportunity to share and discuss with a group of peers the issues that real estate professionals and related industry professionals face each day. Sharing many of the same characteristics as a ULI Product Council the ULI Partnership Forum is reminiscent of the tradition of ULI’s culture of sharing experience gained, mistakes made, and lessons learned. Please know that to get the most out of you experience confidentially is crucial.
Each group consists of approximately 25 members under the age of 35. Members are from diverse professional backgrounds and we ensure those group members are either not in the same company with each other or have direct competitors in their group. The Mentor is a ULI member.
