Michelle joined Fairfield in 2002 and is responsible for managing equity and debt relationships for the company. During her tenure at Fairfield, Michelle has negotiated and closed over $6 billion in multifamily debt and equity transactions. Ms. Lord has extensive experience with bank, life insurance and credit facility debt. Before joining Fairfield, Michelle was a vice president in capital markets with Security Capital Group. During her tenure there, Ms. Lord held several positions including office manager Tokyo, Japan, vice president and assistant to the chairman of Prologis Trust, and associate Archstone Trust. During her tenure at Prologis, Ms. Lord was responsible for initial market entry analysis and research for the company’s Asia strategy. Prior to that, Michelle was a trader on the European and Asian currency desk with Asahi Bank, Tokyo. Michelle received her BA in economics from Smith College and her MBA in finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Michelle is a member of the National Multi Housing Council and ULI Transit Oriented Development Council.
