    Connie Emmitt-Stern

    Executive Vice President of Investments, The Resmark Companies

    Ms. Emmitt-Stern has been with Resmark since 2003 and possesses over 30 years of residential real estate investment experience with major financial institutions. At Resmark, she focuses on originating and underwriting housing and land residential investments in California. Formerly, she was the Managing Director of the Deutsche Bank Real Estate Group in Los Angeles, where she was responsible for overseeing the origination and management of the homebuilding investment program with CalPERS. Prior to that, Ms. Emmitt-Stern served as Vice President with Prudential Home Building Investors, supervising the origination and management of residential investments in the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic United States. Earlier in her career, she managed residential investments throughout California and Nevada for Home Capital Corporation, a real estate subsidiary of HomeFed Bank. She is a long-standing member of the Urban Land Institute (“ULI”) and was Chair of the Community Development Council Green Flight. She has participated on numerous industry panels for National Association of Home Builders, Building Industry Association, ULI, Pacific Coast Builders Conference, and HomeAid. Ms. Emmitt-Stern received a B.S. in Business Education and a Master of Education with an emphasis in Business from Bowling Green State University.

    Michelle Lord

    Senior Vice President, Head of Project Finance, Fairfield Residential

    Michelle Lord Senior Vice President, Capital Markets, Fairfield Residential Company LLC Michelle joined Fairfield in 2002 and is responsible for managing equity and debt relationships for the company. During her tenure at Fairfield, Michelle has negotiated and closed over $6 billion in multifamily debt and equity transactions. Ms. Lord has extensive experience with bank, life insurance and credit facility debt. Before joining Fairfield, Michelle was a vice president in capital markets with Security Capital Group. During her tenure there, Ms. Lord held several positions including office manager Tokyo, Japan, vice president and assistant to the chairman of Prologis Trust, and associate Archstone Trust. During her tenure at Prologis, Ms. Lord was responsible for initial market entry analysis and research for the company’s Asia strategy. Prior to that, Michelle was a trader on the European and Asian currency desk with Asahi Bank, Tokyo. Michelle received her BA in economics from Smith College and her MBA in finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Michelle is a member of the National Multi Housing Council and ULI Transit Oriented Development Council.
