Municipalities all over the country are re-examining and eliminating parking requirements. As housing affordability continues to dominate the headlines, the City of San Diego Planning Department is considering a new policy that would eliminate parking requirements for new residential development in high-density transit-accessible locations. With the cost of labor and construction materials at an all-time high, this is a game-changer in our ability to deliver more affordable and attainable housing.
