Municipalities all over the country are re-examining and eliminating parking requirements. As housing affordability continues to dominate the headlines, the City of San Diego Planning Department is considering a new policy that would eliminate parking requirements for new residential development in high-density transit-accessible locations. With the cost of labor and construction materials at an all-time high, this is a game-changer in our ability to deliver more affordable and attainable housing. More importantly, it eliminates the need to build something that will likely be outdated in the next few years. Join us for a discussion with the City, developers, and advocates.
